Hello from West Virginia. That's right, actually Parkersburg, West Virginia. Janie and I have been here about 3 weeks as her Dad has been in the hospital. We brought him home yesterday and hopefully we will leave here Monday night, after we celebrate his 87th birthday.
Newsletter #59 was mailed last Friday to domestic members. Foreign members newsletters were maied by me Wednesday. Of particular interest to you will be the article by Robert Hunt, photos by Rich Schuchmann (Scar Knives) and myself, of the displayers and displays at this years Blade Show, RKS member knife displays..
Good news about the final 200, RKS4 club knives. I will ship knives 1001 to 1100, about September 30th. Knives 1101-1200, will be shipped about November 15th. A big thank you to the Randall shop, as these were not supposed to finish until about February 2004.
Knives 901-1000, were shipped about a month ago and if you were paid by then, you should have your knives. Those paying after that, will have to wait until the end of September for their knives.
We will be at the Hillsville, Virginia VFW Gun and Knife Show, August 29-Sept 1st. 100 tables inside Gun show and 4-5,000 outside antique dealers set up around town. Hillsville, is a very nice, little town, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway about 30 miles north of Mount Airy, North Carolina. A fun and interesting collector's paradise. The people of Hillsville are some of the nicest people you would want to meet. After going there for over twenty years, I am proud to call many of them friends.
September 12, 13, and 14, we will attend the Spirit of Steel Show, Mesquite, Texas, Mesquite Convention Center, Mesquite Rodeo Arena Exhibit Hall. Exit 4 off I-635, Impossible to miss. http://www.jbrucevoyles.com/knife.htm
We will not attend the Chicago show this year as we will be attending the Mesquite, Texas show. Please accept our apology, to all our good friends that we usually see there.
