Just got myself a pair of
RM Williams boots from australia.
Great stuff. Made from a single piece of leather they really feel well made.

Anyone else have any experience with this brand?

No experience with them but they look like the typical "botines" that we often use in Mexico, even the construction methods described in the site are like what we have here, one piece upper with elastic sides and nailed-in leather stacked heels.

I always thought that the design was originaly Spanish, but who knows.

Enjoy them.

I've never tried the RM Williams boots, but I love that design. I had some Blundstones that I loved, and I'm currently wearing out a pair of Redbacks. As far as I'm concerned, that design is one of the mose comfortable, bullet-proof that I've ever found.

I've had my RM Williams for a couple of years now. I only use them for formal/corporate wear but they have had some fairlly heavy use in weddings parties and the occcaional meeting/presentation. I go barefoot a lot of the time so most shoes kill my feet. But these boots are comfortable every time I put them on. They are standard uniform amongst the farming set over here and I know people who have had themm 15 years plus. The leather soles are excellent and make the boot breathe better. However if you walk in these every day they will need a resole in a few years. Mine are nowhere near that yet.

Just got myself a matching croc skin belt on my last Darwin trip. I may be returning to city life but I'm doing it with a sense of country style.
