RMD and HRLM leather sheaths have arrived.

If you have an order that hasn't shipped and you want to add a sheath, just go to www.shop.ratknives.com order your sheath and then in the comments mention that you want it to ship with your order (order # would be great if you have it)

Where are other sheath makers ???

I want to see some kydex !!!

No offense, but $50 for such a simple leather sheet seems pretty much considering price of the knifes.
 
all the sheath makers charge by blade length regardless of whether it is a pouch style or bushcraft style or whatnot. That said 50.00 is on par with what the other makers all charge and Dwaynes work is top notch. There are several kydex makers that will make you a sheath, will still cost close to the same, probably 40.00-50.00 range depending on tec loks etc. Anyway Steelnut and BuyBrown, mashed cat would be your quickest turnaround, Rainwalker is top notch also but is backlogged and you may wait longer.

Newazzkikr, The leather I use is top grade, and the methods I use are well researched. You might be able to find cheaper sheaths but I am betting that they will not last.

Again, You Get What You Pay For.
 
The sheaths look good but i don't like the "swallow the whole knife" type sheaths if that makes sense.

I had an older Ratmandu and had a nice leather sheath but i dont remember who made it. It might have been a chubby bear or something like that but the handle was snapped in. I dont remember.

Im not taking anything away from these sheaths. Im sure they are great but personally i don't like the handle covered up like that. Im sure plenty do though.
 
The knife in that sheath is the Howler, the RMD fits much less deep, the middle rivet is exposed.

oh! Did the snap sheath look like this but smaller? I might be making a few if there's enough interest. I made a bunch back with the original run.

It was purchased through swamp rat at their store back in Nov-Dec of 2007 i believe. It did look like the bottom one. It coulda been one of yours. Armorallleather sounds familiar now that i think of it.

Im gonna wait til my comes in and look. The pic with the RMD isnt as deep in the sheath so maybe i will like it.
 
If you got it from the store back then, its most likely one of mine. :)
 
Sounds like a plan! I'll start cutting leather this coming week and post up when they are done. I'm making a list for a fair idea of how many I need to make so if anyone is interested in either RMD or Howler please let me know.

The second shipment of pouches is about to go out in a couple of days if all goes well. Hopefully Eric doesn't run out before they get there.
