I am going to be buying my first swamp rat and its prob going to be the ratmandu. Could you help me out with understanding the different types. Looks like the one you can order now is the rmd cg? What does the cg stand for and what are the other options out there. Thank you.

CG is Combat Grade aka regular edition. There are variants available out there, but for your first you might as well go for the CG.

The CG will be the only one available from The Swamp direct at the direct price. You can get The Swamp Custom Shop to make you one up (at more $$ and longer wait I guess) the way you want it. The other varients are all ones that have been offered in Ganzas and at shows.

Be warned though..... RMDs are like M&Ms ....you can't have just the one..!!!

Thx guys. I actually like the design of the cg over the other variants I have seen. So it's a no brainer for me. I just wanted to make sure I was making an educated decision. Thx again.
