The RMD LE Pre-order will open Saturday approx 7 PM eastern. Mark you calendars and wait for the "GO" post on this forum, or the Rat Chat forum. If you are on Facebook I'll also be posting to the Company Store Facebook page so that's an option to watch for the "Go" (one of the forums will be first though). Early emails do not count, so wait for the pre-order to open.

Here's what you need to know.
After I post the official "Go" send an email with your name, address, phone number and email address in the body of the email to
Also be sure to include the number of RMD LE's you want.

Include any special requests you have for numbers but you may also want to include back-up numbers or "I'll just take the next in line" in case you don't get that number. The numbers will be assigned on a "First Come, First Served" basis, so don't plan on emailing 12 hours late and getting #9 ;)

Finally put RMD LE in the subject line.

We hope to be shipping the first of these in 10-14 days after your pre-order is received so keep your cash on hands.

Eric, thanks for this info. I really like the part when you say here's what you "need to know". I also like that you said 10-14 days and not "2 weeks" which in the real world is assumed to be 10-14 days. There is some humor in there somewhere. Just sayin'.

Thanks for providing ordering procedures. Just wondering, will there be any sort of limit on the number of knives available to order per customer? Thanks in advance.

We generally do not limit the number of knives that someone can buy. Along with that I don't think we've ever run into a problem with someone trying to buy a bunch for resale either.

I've been downsizing my knife acculuation....I guess I'm going to put that downsize on pause...oh well that two weeks was rough anyhow.

2 weeks is a good start, kinda like a practice run. You can start up the real thing on Sunday ;)

I'm not always a fan of choils as well, but the choil on the RMD is fantastic! It is very usable, comfortable, and provides great option when choking up - unlike many of the other kin choils. For me the RMD ergo's as is are the best of any knife I've held. A choil-less version might be cool to try, but it wouldn't be all that important for me on the RMD. The only thing I'm thinking is how to get me some pumpkin scales on one of these LE's!
