RMD or a HRLM

So I put down a pre-order for a HRLM and a Swamp warden.. but now after reading all the posts about the RMD I sort of want one too... Please someone tell me its not that great and I don't need 3 knives :D.. But in all honesty how does it feel weight wise compared to the HRLM?? is it more balanced?
 
I don't have a HRLM but for me the RMD is a perfect weight and balance.I already have two RMD's and am ordering a third. I have one as a user and the other two will be backups (in case I loose the first one) or heirlooms to give away to the kids.
 
I have both. In my opinion, the HRLM is a bit handle heavy. Don't get me wrong... it is a great knife.

The Ratmandu is absolute perfection. Perfect balance and very light in the hand. You should definitely get one.
 
I have a RMD on order but I do have a HRLM...the weight very slightly shifted toward the handle (for me ) adds so much controlability and precision to the knife. Its my EDC and is superb for finer and utility chores, yet has enough heft and belly to keep up with some big boy tasks like batoning. Its my favorite SW knife I own...so far. Not getting one IMHO would be a great loss. I'd get both, and I doubt you would want to get rid of one because you liked the other that much better, but if you did Rats are easy to find homes for.
 
I actually like HRLM better- but I also really like the RMD. I ordered several of both.
 
I have only had the RMD, but both are great knives from everything I have heard. At the Ganza prices, you just can't lose getting both of them.
 
I ordered all 3 because I can't decide:o
I like the looks of the RMD best, and have never seen a bad review on it.:D
 
bout the same for me, I just put another HRLM on order i plan on making the choil usable on this one.
If the choil was either usable or gone i would like it better than my RMD
 
Darn it.. I'm so tempted right now.. the only thing holding me back is I have a hunch that Busse is gonna be realeasing something soon.. If I get the RMD I'm gonna be dipping into the infi fund.. :D
 
If you've got to skip one, drop the SW. Many, many knives have passed through my hands in a constant search for "The Perfect Knife."

There isn't a "Perfect Knife." There are Perfect Knives for certain situations. The HRLM and RMD are two of those for me. They'll be going nowhere. ;) Just like my original Ratweilers!

We'll I guess I'll have to follow ur advise and get the RMD... The funny thing is everytime I see a new knife this happens.. and they just end up in the safe while my wallet feels lighter :p.. I have enough knives to carry a different one for every day of the month :eek:

That sting just goes away after a while and you no longer notice. :D

At the prices their at right now, get both... I did :)
as a matter of fact it boiled down to waki or rmd,hrlm, and sw....
I had to go with the latter, 3 knives I'd use a lot, or a sword I'd chop trees down with here and there?....hmmmm right? lol

Same here. I plan on using the Swamp warden as EDC. the other 2 may be sent to the custom shop with my M9LE and HCSE for Orange/Black G10 later on.
 
O.K soo its:

RMD in Black paper and tanker grey
HRLM black linen and Black
SW tanker grey....

I can't wait!!! 3-4 weeks seems like forever and then theres the 2-3 weeks in shipping to canada... I feel like a 4 year old waiting for santa to arrive!!

I dunno.. depends on the border.. I had some regular USPS and it arrives in a week and a half. others on priority or express and arrives in 2-3 weeks.. I guess it all depends if they check the packages or not.. Im hoping i get mine in less than 2 weeks :D
