Alright, so I'm looking for a knife to go in my b.o.b but it will also be used as a camp knife. I was wondering what the general consensus on these two knives are for this role. Which is the better of the two? I already have the scrapper 5 but the RMD has caught my eye. Thanks in advance!

I have both, and really like both, the Scrapper 5 is a little thinner and therefor will have better edge geometry and cut better, however that means the RMD will tougher, also because of the full tang of the RMD it will be stronger. As far as ergonomics I'd say it depends on your hand size, the RMD a bigger (taller) handle therefor if you have bigger than average hands or you prefer a bigger handle you're more likely to like the RMD handle more, if smaller, then S5. I'd also say that it depends on temperature, S5 will be better in the snow/cold because of the fully covered handle, where the RMD has the exposed tang, for me I prefer the RMD slightly over the S5, though I wouldn't give up/sell either, so I'd say if you have the money buy the RMD and keep both, if you want only one, sell which ever you don't like for no loss or profit, depending on how long you wait to sell it and condition its in.
