RMDxLE magnetized?

Late last night I was holding and M9LE in one hand and a RMDxLE in the other, and when the bottom guards of both knives came together they stuck.I was a little surprised and after analyzing the knives I found it was the RMDx that was magnetized. The really interesting thing to me is that instead of the end op the blade and the butt of the handle being the opposite poles, it was the double guard. The bottom guard was sticking to other metal and the top guard would push away. Here are some pics of a screw hanging from the bottom guard, the force was strong enough to overcome gravity. I checked the knife again today and it has not changed.

This may be basic to you all, but I've never experienced it before with my knives. Anyone else notice knives become magnetized?

I checked all of my other knives and none of them are magnetized, just the deuxLE.

haha I had to check mine and yeah... the lower guard of my RMDxLE will just barely pull metal beads... it's not strong enough to hold on to them though, and the top won't repel anything. I've never noticed anything like that with any of my other knives... maybe the way they did the full convex?

That's what I'm thinking, I would guess the charge is caused by friction.

Just checked mine too; mine held a paper clip off both the top and bottom guard. Interesting stuff, huh?
