RMJ-ATC Model 2... anyone?

I can't seem to find any reviews on the ATC Model 2. Anyone in this sub purchase one and have some thoughts? Thanks in advance.

They just came out so I doubt theres a review yet. I have a model one and I love it. Ide imagine the model 2 is awesome.
 
Bearded axes with handle behind the bit are a head scratcher to me.

So it’s literal only purpose is breaking/raking windows and killing people? Because it’s going to be pretty close to useless for bush crafting or any kind of splitting.

It looks damn cool though.
 
Do you have Facebook? If so, you can join the RMJ Tactical group and ask about it there. They are great group of guys and could probably provide any answers for your questions.

Not specific to "bearded axes", but my hawk (bearded hawk) is my got-to (lives on my backpack then belt carry afield) for many uses afield.

Hmmm ..., I am guessing we may have a difference of terms situation goin on here ...?

By definition an axe, tomahawk, etc. is considered to have a beard if/when the Lower-Corner/Heel of the Bit extends below the Pole/Butt of the Head.

I am not familiar with a tomahawk that does not include a beard, so it seems your ARE "questioning the efficacy of tomahawks" in general, AND also a lot of axe designs.
I can not think of a tomahawk that does not have a beard (with the exception of stone tomahawks that used a triangular stone head, some French designs, etc.). In my mind the beard is about extending the cutting edge without increasing the weight by making the head longer, which is the essence of what makes a tomahawk fast-in-hand and fast-into-wood (speed over mass approach to generate power).

Perhaps you mean to question long-bearded axes & tomahawks ...?
 
The OP is about the American Tomahawk Model 2, which IS a bearded design.

No, not all tomahawks are bearded.
