Ups dropped of my box from RMJ forge today!!! Nestled within was my green and black eagle talon, a very tight fitting kydex sheath, and some entertaining literature.... (do not play with tomahawk while operating a motor vehicle...lol cant make that up) First impression so far is very high quality product, from a company that was a pleasure to work with. Well worth the bucks. Hoping to take it out to the gravel pit soon to kill some deserving appliances and what not... Will update.

Not too bad. Ordered the eagle talon in mid jan and was not expecting it until apr-may timeframe. I called RMJ yesterday because I saw that they had some kestrel feathers available for immediate shipping, and asked if I could pull a switcharoo since I had already paid in jan for the talon. all agreed to the swap, and the box was in my hands in less than 24 hours! I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box to find the original eagle talon instead, but either way I'm equally happy. I'm sure the kestrel would have been sick.... Maybe next tax return.

I've had mine for a few years. Whatever the wait, it is worth it. A real nice piece. When I get a few minutes to rub together I'd like to come up with a quieter release that the Kydex. It has a very distinct pop when it lets go.

Used my eagle talon today. no hard abuse, just chopped at a few dead trees and a rusty oil drum found in the woods. The edge was still very sharp after approximately an hour of good chopping, but only used the spike on the drum. After 7-8 good whacks that completely poked through the steel, the spike had lost that "sewing needle" point but was otherwise undamaged. A light workout compared to what others have done, but I am impressed nonetheless! Nothing better than money well spent :-)
