Well, it's a bit disappointing when one of the country's leading hawk makers is so busy that they can't respond to emails, or phone messages. I would LOVE a Kestral - better yet, a 3T - but I'm not sure I'm willing to tie up funds on a "wing and a prayer" hoping my order will be received...and shipped in a reasonable time - sigh :(

K5 got back to me in 24 hours...Mineral Mountain the same, on 3 occasions...Graham Brothers a quick response... even American Tomahawk (Andy) responded in a few days...

anybody else feelin' my pain?

you can search thru this forum and find complaint after complaint about rmj.

i have an eagle talon which i bought from a dealer. imo this is the best way to go since you will receive the product very quickly. try bladeart.com

thanks for the reply - I'll may give'er a whirl

Well, gave that source a try....NO ANSWER there either, and nothing on their site...

good luck with RMJ...I agree that its the best hawk around...Ive talk to Ryan years back and he seems like a nice guy, however if you are going to advertise its a good idea to have a product to sell...it was one of the most frustrating items Ive ever bought...bladeart.com had them once in a while...

I was able top contact RMJ - basically, it's true - they are simply a small production company, and when major (bulk) dealers needed tomahawks to provide customers, many of which were GI's heading east...that's where the supply went.

They're trying to get organized and catch up on all their back-orders...keep an eye out late spring....and fingers crossed....

looked at bladeart.com they have a erp prototype in stock or as they describe it a kestrel on steroids

I don't begrudge anyone making a profit...:foot: but if you place an order for one, and wait a few weeks, you can pick one up for about half the price ;)

it's economics 101...BUT, if you got $$$ to blow, jump on it!
