Rmj sparrow, grind lines not same on both sides of blade.

It's difficult to see at first, then impossible to unsee it. An aesthetic, not a utility issue. However, the irritation does make for a bad first impression. Nevertheless, I'd keep it and turn it into a user.

Have you contacted RJM?
Were you aware of the tolerance the manufacturer holds to?
Was it purchased as a user?

You have plenty of knives, just sell it off unless you have an RMJ collection going I guess because every time you look at it, that’s what you’re seeing. I’ve done the same thing with knives that I wanted to keep, just couldn’t past a certain flaw.

It's funny, the grinds wouldn't bother me, but I hate it when they do the proud tang sticking out, instead of bringing the scales to the edge and finishing them smooth. Artistic license, I guess.

I still don't see It?
Looks like your knife isn't positioned the same in both pictures. Angled.
I do everything by eye, I don't really measure much, any more. been a tool room machinist of some sort, most of my life, and we aren't making Watches here.....

But now, I'm wondering If I need glasses? Haha.

The proud tang is a NO for me, but that's just My tastes.

Can you take a photo of the spine? I’m thinking the grind is not at the same level and the spine at the tip should show that.

There are a wide range of expectations with serious knife collectors/users. The differences are so slight in this example that I would not care a bit.

IMO, it wasn’t worth the post. Just get an exchange if it bothers you. No need to publicly shame a quality manufacturer for a minor production variation.

Unless We're not understanding what they are referring to?

I had to have my Bifocals updated.

Found out the hard way. Failed the vision test at the DMV when I tried to renew my Driver's License last November. Much embarrassment and $1200 dollars later, I finally updated my DL.

No, you are not making watches. You are making great knives. Your eye health is important nevertheless!
