As the title stats. What would you chose and why?
Anyone have both with comparison shots?

Than you guys!

I've looked at the Rattlehawk many times, I think it's gorgeous. The vids of it at work prove that it's no slouch, I've just never bought one.

I have the Shrike, love everything about it. Only thing I'd change would be to add a bit more texture to the handle. It's a beast otherwise and well worth the money.
That answers which one for me but even though I've already made that decision I couldn't tell you why. They both have great resale value so don't worry too much about buyers remorse or wishing later that you'd chose differently, you can always sell and buy the other at a minimal loss.
Get the one that's pulling on your wallet harder and have some fun.

If you get the Shrike remember to take the sharpening stone out of the handle before you bust stuff up or you may crack the stone.

I just got my Loggerhead yesterday. It is my first RMJ. I already had a swamprat CrashAxe, Rattle hawk, KDSH, and a ganzaa KDSH without the handles. I got the Loggerhead because I already had others with spikes. I'll try to get some comparison pics up since I didn't see many posted

I ended up getting the Rattlehawk. I still want the Shrike too though lol. I also want a second Rattlehawk....this is going to become a problem I think lol

How does 4140 compare to 52100? I know the Swamprat hawks are through hardened to a high rockwell (~59ish). Not sure if that is a good or bad thing for a hawk considering most are made out of 1055 (or equivalent) and hardened to the mid 50's at most (if they aren't deferentially hardened).

there are a few videos on youtube of folks punishing RMJ tomahawks. there is even a video of a group taking apart an AH-1 Cobra helicopter using a Shrike tomahawk. RMJ's 4140 is nothing to scoff at. the crew will also go to the ends of the earth for their customers, I have shopped and will continue to shop there without hesitation.

I really love my s13 shirke. I much prefer my KDSH to the Rattlehawk because I really dislike the exposed top edge. However when you are dealing with Swamp Rat or RMJ you can't go wrong, both treat their customers excellently.

Both are awesome, I contemplated the same thing, and settled on rmj, I now own 4. They are the most durable Hawks your gonna buy. Some makers on this site use 4140 too. There is some awesome Hawks out there, you won't go wrong with either.
