I am getting ready to place another order for some new Randall's. I am also more than likely going to order one of their dagger's in that order.

So my question is, which of the handle variations do you find the most comfortable. I have big hands, but not fat hands so small handles don't really bother me, but high friction areas do.

I like the commando shape handle but a part of me suspects that the fishtail on the end will wear on my palm. I have been considering one of the smooth coolie caps on a concave handle. Could someone that owns a 2-6 chime in with some opinions please?

Thank you for your time gents.

I ordered a Bear Bowie last month and asked to have the Brass Butt Cap on the Commando handle "Rounded" to make it a little more flesh friendly. I don't know if this is helpful to you or not.

It may help. I guess it depends on what they deliver in 5 years. :D

Ron, ordering through the shop you'll be limited to one knife per household every three months IIRC; that said, you'll be ordering at today's price for a delivery five years from now - in five years all prices will go up, so order the current max five options as options always bring a solid return (and while you may think you're owning the knife, simple fact is you're more likely just leasing it for awhile, even years)...

So, go with a stainless steel blade, nickel-silver hilt, and aluminum & metal spacers right off the bat - that's about an extra $100 in today's dollars, but will probably bring double that in five years. Now you're down to two options, and an end cap of any type, even with lanyard hole, won't usually help with a return, or looks, on a #2-6. So, I'd suggest something different, unusual, seldom seen - something like Sambar stag, and if you really want to mix it up, add a NS end plate, or fingergrooves. I'd recommend the NS end plate. And while you're at it, order a no hone black sheath...not an option, and only a $25 bump as of this year.

Hope that helps,

Shel
