Well boys...they got me.

I got caught going pretty fast in a not so fast place, and now I have to pay. Moving traffic violations suck.

So think of this as a SDBRKS...SamuraiDave's Bad Road Karma Sale.

First up is a 15" Suripati brand spankan' new by Knn. Wood finished in Superglue, karda and chakuma (sp) have rounded off handels instead of the standard flat ended handle and are also superglue finished. The sheath has one of Sandi's olive drab covers. $100

Next is a 11" Villager I cold blued horn handle. Uglier than sin, and tougher than any analogy than I can come up with. The blueing has been beaten off in some places but can be easily fixed (I'll do it if you want me to), I like it and think it gives the thing more character. I have also re-epoxyed the but cap on. It is really pointy and would make a nice fighter, I havent seen any 12" Suripatis like it yet. $40

12" AK horn handle Knn, this is one of the first ones over that they made. Before we knew he was a they. Also Brand Spanken new. $65

Finally, last but not least (may I have a drum roll)...

A Bura 20" Kobra...a few specks of rust from use and a sorta-kinda tight scabbard, handle is wood with a couple layers of linseed oil. $75

FIRST COME FIRST SERVED...

I should be here all day. Post or e-mail me if you have questions. I should have everything out to the buyers by Thanksgiving. I will e-mail you to tell you if you got it and again when it is in the mail.

Personal checks are acceptible but NOTHING WILL BE SHIPPED UNTIL THEY CLEAR. Please pay by money order, it makes EVERYONES life easier.

This is a matter of getting the money for one of the local law enforcement agencies. I have to be timely...I am sure you guys understand. (Stinking traffic violations)

Good knives and good prices. Dave's bad luck may turn out to be somebody's good luck. Tough, Dave.

They have brought me happiness...now it is time for them to move on.
At least I get to keep my favorites.

Sorry about the bad raod Karma Dave.

I'm thinking that if you had pics, the khuks would sell really fast.

I wish I could take a few off your hands. But I just ordered a few Khuks from Uncle Bill. *HIKV getting bad* Must resist, must resist.... *HIKV taking over* I don't need to eat for the rest of the month, what are the specs on the Kobra?

12" AK is gone.

wildmanh,

The Bura 20" Kobra is at my parents house, All I remember is that it has a 14" blade and a 6" handle that is well shaped. Great weapon, the only thing wrong that I remember is a few little pitch stains near the tip of the blade.

However, I just spoke with my father and he hasnt used it since I last saw it. So it has been sitting in a closet with BreakFree CLP on it for 2 months. Maybe the stains are gone?? I dont know. It will be next tuesday before I am home again. If you want it you can send me the money and I can have him ship it to you.

20" AK???

I was just informed of an upcoming date dance by a lady friend. And that if I don't spend the money on the dance, my life will be inperal. Something about having my priorities backwards and her using those sharp pointy things against me if I don't get them straightened out.

Man, I didn't know that girls were so serious about such things. Looks like I won't be able to get a khuk :(

Dave: Sorry to hear about your Bad Road Karma. I had some a year and a half ago myself which revisited me recently.

July, 2000, I was on my way to Fla. with my Blushin' bride in a green mustang rental car. It was sweet and just a little to fast. On the interstate, in the Unadilla, GA. City Limits, I had an opportunity to meet Police Chief Jaques Wheeler. He rightfully left me with a salutation of 94 in a 70 zone. I was doing at least that. I got home and dispatched a cashiers check which would equal a Royal silver mounted Dhankuta and some change. This was done well before the court date. Got a receipt back from the city and all was well.

Until......

I was working in Chicago a month back when my wife calls to tell me our auto insurance will not be renewed because my license had been suspended and it had been since Sept of 2000. Great news when you are out of town and have to drive 800 miles to get back home. Needless to say Heidi did some serious phoning and found out that the classical clerical error was to blame. This taught me a few things:

1) DON'T SPEED in Unadilla even if the devil's chasin' ya

2) Always keep every scrap of paper involving such things....It may be the only proof you have. I sent a SASE with my payment and requested a receipt-- this was a good move on my part. I was guilty until I could prove my innocence.

I'm certain many other forumites could give similar accounts. It still stinks, though.

As my boss would say,"Son, that's the price of poker"

-Craig

15" Suripati with Sandi's olive drab cover. Brand new KNN, $100
That is the price of the knife new -20 for the cover.

and

11" Villager horn handle blued blade...now $35

order them both for $135 and I'll throw in a Kagas Katne

Yvsa, I'm girl crazy. :D:p Living at a college with a population of 1 guy to every 3 girls is nice :p:) But it's got a few draw backs. Like, I have to keep my Khuks at my mom's place and being out numbered by girls can sometimes be hazzardes to your health :p:D:p
