The lock and handle hold up amazing! Definitely the #1 hard use knife of the world.

That's a bold statement.

I need to remove that ground pipe becasue it was at the front of my building and it quit dangerous for people who walking around so I decided to use the Roadhouse to cut them off.

I baton it through the pipe with minor edge damage, the lock worn in but it hold up just fine. From my experience there are not many folding knife that will withstand this kind of use. Chinese knife will fail before finished the first cut.

Ouch. It's great the knife survived😳 But is this considered hard use or abuse?

sawzall with metal blade would have been my choice. too much work for a folder. nice to see it held up though.

Its cool to see it can take the abuse and stand up, although a little worse for wear. Still though, I cringe at senseless abuse like this when there are tools more suited for this type of job. It's like seeing those wackos that destroy brand new cellphones on youtube. No offense intended, but was it really worth it... not that you are looking to claim it, but I'm sure warranty ain't gonna cover that! I'd actually be interested to know if it would still be covered under warranty, after the amount of grinding it would take to get a nice edge put back on it, lol.

No problems there. I've taken EKI knives to get a factory edge put back on and they were much worse than the OP's. It is a wonder what some people can do to a blade while sharpening them. Heck, I just got my dad's CQC7 back and it looked much like this Roadhouse but it was missing the tip. $5 later and it had a new tip and factory edge.

The knives are meant to be used.

The look on the neighbors faces while you did that would have been be priceless! "What's he up to now?" "I think he's cutting that steel pipe out of the front yard WITH A POCKET KNIFE!" Op surely delivered.

Wow man you really "hard used" your knife!! Personally I would never do that but I commend you for you valor, plus it was for a good cause right? The picture is impressive nonetheless, thanks for sharing it.

I think we have just witnessed the next knife testing method. No more using a winch or weights to pull on the handle until the lock breaks. BladeHQ, are you seeing this?

Put up some pics after you get an edge back on that roadhouse. :)

Wait are you sure the liner lock didn't fail? Cause they are pretty flimsy. And do you see the fit and finish on that thing! [emoji6]
