I just got this today, waited over a year, more then well worth the wait. Rob Brown makes the very best and his prices are unbelievable IMHO.

Beautiful. I've been waiting for the larger size with ebony handles. I have one of his California Dirk models with black buffalo horn handle and a utility semi-skinner. His waiting list is probably getting longer every day. He builds knives one at a time and is very particular about every detail, even the sheath. My California Dirk is built so tight that several people have asked if it has an integral guard. It doesn't but you have to look real close to tell. There is not a visible (to me anyway) joint at the blade/guard mating.
Someday I'll have to buy gold member status so I can post some pictures.

I really like that style of knife and yours is a beautiful example. Rob Brown's knives are consistently stunning, flawless and offer tremendous value. Enjoy.

Cheers,

Roger

I can't wait for my stuff: Sheffield bowie & "Sheffield subhilt", en suite, with mastodon ivory & D2 blades. Should be mighty sweet....
