I went to flip on the variable speed controller for my KMG yesterday and nothing happened. No lights, nothing. I had just been running it 10 minutes before so I don't know what happened to it. Checked the breaker and it was fine. Got out the multimeter and there was power everywhere except to the machine. So I got on the phone with Rob and he walked me through some further diagnostics and we determined that it could not be fixed over the phone.

Next step was overnight FedEx to get me a replacement controller. Got it this afternoon, spent an hour hooking it up, got back on the phone with Rob and he walked me through the setting of the pots. Whew, back in business! :)

Looking forward now to getting the old controller fixed up which will give me a second one for a little Coote that I picked up used this past winter. It's going to be handy having a back up grinder.

Thank you Rob, you are the BEST! ;)

Thanks Peter! I just can't say enough good things about these KB drives and Leeson motor combinations. KB's service on the few warranty issues that I've had is simply 2nd to none....regardless of the problem. I have a special warranty program with Leeson such that they will replace a motor for any reason if it is not running 2 years after it was purchased. regardless of why...if FedEx smashes it, Leeson will replace it. If it gets fried because it was wired wrong, Leeson will replace it... This is just amazing. I've only had to excersize this policy a few times. Once for a FedEx damage claim...and the other was for a motor that went to Belgium where it was damaged from running on 50hz instead of the required 60hz for that particular application.

Just recently, I started offering Variable Speed conversion packages for Bader grinders. A 2hp and a 1-1/2 hp package that runs on 220V and 110V respectively. I think they are very nice packages with bullet proof components.

My partnership with KB and Leeson make it a pleasure to deal with a customers problem when and if they come up. (how's that for a sappy sales pitch?).

Thanks for the wonderful praise guys!!
