Custom maker. Robert Podesta, Ulladulla, NSW, Australia.
8 1/4 " hidden tang clip point damascus hunter. The blade is ground from a 200+ layer random pattern damascus billet. The billet was forged from 1095, 15N20 & 1075 with 2% nickel, best quality damascus from USA. The blade has been mar quenched and tempered to RC 58-60.
His custom knives have been shown at knife shows around the world and appeared in well known knife magazines such as Coltelli. One off creation made in his workshop.
Stabilized Australian flame oak handle with a stunning 20,000 year old ice age fossil tooth spacer. The tang is secured with a mosaic pin. Has his hand made trademark Mosaic finger guard. File work pattern on the blade and the whole knife has been sanded down to 2000 grit and polished on the lap wheel to 16000 grit for a mirror finish. Stamped R.P.C.K. AUST.
Came with RPCK AUST hand made leather sheath made from A grade Australian leather. Heavy duty Nickle silver riveted and wax stitched then finished with neats foot oil and waterproofed. The sheath has a form fit welt.
