I won this one for AU $162.50 (US$ 176)
10 1/2" hidden tang drop camp/kitchen knife.
Stainless Japanese damascus 33 layers of 410 stainless steel each side of a VG-10 high carbon core. RP's custom knives have been shown at knife shows around the world and appeared in well known knife magazines such as Coltelli. All his knives are one off creations made in his workshop in Ulladulla, NSW, Australia.
He used AAA grade stabilized Australian mountain ash burl for the handle and Australian buffalo horn as the spacer. Nickle silver bolsters & tang secured with Mosaic pins. Sanded down to 2000 grit and polished on lap wheel to 16000 grit with mirror finish. Hand made leather sheath by him from A grade Australian leather with form fit welt, Nickle silver rivets, wax stitched & finished with neats foot oil to waterproofed. BLADE LENGTH. 5"
