Picked this one up the other day. Not to impressed with the sheath leather but the blade seems to be well made with a convex grind and maple burl handle. Any one else bought one of his knives what did you think?

I have a Jeff white knife and a sheath made by Robert. Is the camp Bowie knife

I like the shape of that one. what are the specs on it?

it looks like a useful tool, and designed with use over aesthetics in mind. and still looks pretty good doing it.

Interesting logos for the two fellas. Their logos look similar. RJ's looks like a house; JW's looks like a flame.

RJ's J looks like JW's W. Looks like they work in the same shop.

Well I have to eat crow on my earlier comment. And I'll let Robert Jones speak for himself in the quote below.
From Robert Jones website:
History

Robert Jones has enjoyed knives and sheaths for years. Robert's personal collection of factory blades includes Cold Steel, Al Mar, SOG, Gerber, Columbia River, Buck, Schrade, and many others. He made his first knives in the late 1970's, and simple sheaths came soon after. Most of those were given to family and friends.

Over the years, he kept seeing that many quality knives had inferior sheaths. He made a few custom sheaths for himself and a few friends. In 2005 Robert met custom knife maker Jeff White; they soon developed both a friendship and a business relationship that continues to the present.

Since that time, Robert's knife and sheath production has taken a more serious turn, and production has increased.

Below is a photo of a knife with both makers marks of Jeff White and Robert Jones which I found rather odd.

And to answer the OP's question, I have half a dozen of Jeff White's shop knives. Three of them have Jeff White's makers mark. One of them has a Two Bee makers mark made by Byron Baker who is apprenticing under Jeff White. And two knives with no makers mark. None of my knives have a makers mark of Robert Jones.

sorry it took so long the specs are. 9 3/8” overall

Blade is 4 ½” long, 1/8” thick & 1 5/8” at its widest

curly maple handle is 4 ¾”

I picked up a JBehring knife today with a custom handsewn leather sheath made by Robert Jones aka Beowulf and the sheath is incredibly well made with nice hand-tooled designs and a stag arrow head on the front....does anyone know when he made custom sheaths for J. Behring?

The OP has not been online in a couple of years, but B buckfynn still occasionally logs on.
