Robert E. Barber ,maker ?

Good morning,
I'm trying to find some info on the maker ( thread title) . I do know the maker was from VA. and retired. I have a crude picture ,that does not clearly show the makers mark & really is not much to show,but it is a hidden tang fighter bowie style.

Any help is appreciated,this is for a client who owns one of this man's knives. Possibly someone may know of him,contact,etc.
