This may be a gem... sabre
http://www.geocities.com/research_images/Sabre.jpg
(click on floating bow to make image larger) is quite nice. About a yard in length with a wrapped grip and very ornate gilt furniture. Some wear to the gilt. Appears to be a dress or officers sabre. On the top of the blade it is engraved "Robrecht Hoflieferant Berlin" (see images).
I googled and came up with a similar sword and a Prussian Navy cocked hat by the purveyor: J. Robrecht Hoflieferant Court Purveyor. However the site was in German. I didn't see anything specifically on this purveyor historically. Could someone fill me in historically? What type of a book value would this have? What would the age be?
The sabre is in really good condition, straight, with no other engraving on the blade. A beautiful piece. Tassels are all intact.
