History help, anyone? Scored these two yesterday. The double bit is a Kelly Works Falls City from, I believe, the 1930-1949 AFH pre-TT range (feel free to correct me). The single is a Robert Mann and is marked such along with "II" with a circle around it (maybe for Jr?) and "superior cast steel" . Having trouble finding much info on this one. Thanks for any help

Thank you. I'm thinking along the same lines as you on the single. I've read all I can on the yesteryearstools site regarding the Mann's, however Robert is usually minimally mentioned.

There was a "Robert Mann" brand of axe sold by the American Axe & Tool Co., according to their 1913 price list (about halfway down on the left):

Note that the A.A.&T.Co. and Mountaineer brands were the highest priced (at $10 per dozen heads, the same as the competing Kelly Registered) and the only ones with a warranty (similar to the Kelly Registered).
