Hey guys.

Not sure any of you guys get satellite radio or listen to Brian and the judge in the mornings but Robert Pelton was on this morning talking about Afghanistan and his opinions on the ongoing conflict.

It was one of the best no BS interviews I have heard in a long time and based on his experiences in the region. Now I know why RAT hooked up with this guy. If you can find it on line at Brian and the Judge I really suggest you look it up. Especially for all you HEST fans.

The most eye-opening thing was his experiences on the so called NATO forces in the region. He said that most of them do absolutely nothing in base camp other than sun and drink all day while the Americans, Brits, and Canadians do the fighting.

Amazingly, he said that NATO countries like Germany that have forces there have a running joke going. When you ask them what they did today, they replay "ISAF!"

I.S.A.F = I Saw Americans Fighting

Made me sick...

God bless our troops. Peace.

I heard Robert on Coast To Coast a long while ago and I agree with you, it was a truly no BS interview.

The interview might still be up on youtube.

Well, come by SHOT show and meet the man, get a book signed and play with some knives. ;)

I have heard him on Brian and The Judge (who both fill me with flatulence :D ) a couple of times and on C2C a couple of times. I turn the radio up and listen and then when he makes his exit, I usually turn the radio off knowing that nothing else of interest will be on for the rest of the replay/night.

Yeah, I heard it too. I wish I could say it made me sick but I guess it just confirmed my own guess that it's basically the Norte Americanos and Brits doing the work.

Lol. I listen for Judge Napolitano (spelling?). I have a libertarian/self reliance bent and I like his legal opinions. I agree with you about Brian though..

Just heard this morning that NATO will send another 7000 more troops to "help". Although this new help will not be allowed to leave base, engage in combat, and can only train police because of European voter discontent..

How long can America bear the burden of global security? Of course if anything ever happened in Europe I'm sure they would be screaming for our "help", which I'm sure would involve American troops actually leaving base.

Does the SHOT show allow general attendance? I thought it was for "industry" only.

You're right, but survivalists and othere extremists can find a way in the doors!

As a non American or Brit, that has friends over there STFU! In every multi national conflict gets the exact same BS gets spouted over it.

Stereotype 1: Americans are bull in china shop type cowboy children.
Stereotype 2: Mainland Euro types are not allowed to shoot at anything.

Etcetera etcetera :barf:

In my experiences yes, there are differences in the approaches country's take but all are willing to risk lives for freedom! YOU SHOULD RESPECT THAT!

Calm yourself, Germany has strick laws against ofensive use of thier military anywhere in the world.

Well, anyway, the thread got closed but if anyone wants to meet Robert at SHOT show then we can all sit around, drink beer and make fun of anyone and everyone we want, especially Europeans! :D Hell, we'll even make fun of the rednecks, hippies and Waffle House waitresses.
