I got this knife off of the big auction site. Something about it just spoke to me. I loved the spear blade and the color in the handles. Its in need of some serious attention and love. The main spear blade doesn't close all the way, just a millimeter or so of the blade tip sticks up. Neither of the blades are even close to being centered. There is a pretty big step from the spring to the blade on both sides. The spring on the pen blade sticks up a tad from the spear spring when closed. However, with ll that said, I still love this little knife.

From the tang stamp information I can find it appears to be made somewhere between 1940 - 1964. The shield information looks like it was used from about 1950 - 1960, then again I don't know enough about the stamp history to be sure.

My company went out of business so I'm stuck at home unemployed, but once I'm back at work I think I would like to send this on to someone and have them give it a once over. I really like this knife.

My photography skills are lacking.

I recently worked on one very similar to that Robeson. However mine is a Utica, and really just needed to be cleaned up a bit and sharpened and given a nice long mineral oil bath. Sounds like yours needs a little more mechanical work.

Corey, that is a beautiful knife. I think the layout on the Utica is superior to the layout on the Robeson. The spear location is on the correct side with your knife allowing both blades to be opened without flipping the knife over. Very nice looking.
