Robeson Fixed Blade Questions

Good day,

My wifes boss brought me a knife that his dad gave him, and that his dad had used when he was younger.

He's trying to determine ballpark value for insurance. Of course, sentimental is irreplacable

It is -
- stag handled (2 pc pinned)
- blade marked ROBESON * 54 USA (the asterisk I used is a solid circle on the blade) and looks to be laser etched (or maybe acid??)
- 8,75" OAL, blade 4,125 from ricasso, just over 4,5 from guard.
- upswept, with thumb grooves on spine.
- appears to be aluminum guard and cap (also pinned)
- sheath is thin leather with snap retention, white thread and 5 "rivet" construction.

I'll try to get pics if no one has any info.

I'm always cruising Ebay for old Robesons...and most of the ones I've seen over the years that matched your description usually sell in the $15 to $30 range.
