Hey everyone,
Thought you'd like to see the work Kevin Robinson is capable of.
Satin finished blade, ti bolsters, black micarta scales blasted to a grey color, and switched from tip down to tip up carry. And very smooooth. Thanks Kevin.

Thanks John Hollister for the Pics.
Take it away John. :-)

It's worth noting that this knife started life as a Benchmade/Emerson CQC7. I don't know what Kevin did, but this baby is "Tom Anderson" smooth!

Now that is sweeeeeet!

Does it still have the original plastic back spacer or was that changed out too.

Man, that is a stunner. I love the groove in the bolster leading to the lock bar. Nicely done.
I too wonder about the back spacer. (I'm thinking about changing mine to carbon fiber or micarta.)
Outstanding work, Mr. Robinson.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - Kevin is the MAN!

Dave - I get nice stares from the "sheeple" when I show them my "Robinson" SOCFK, so I know what you mean.

Kevin - nice job, again, buddy! And don't worry - I haven't frogetten the Commander project... I just have to wring some damn time out of my schedule.

John - you took those pics? Sweet, man! I may just have to send you the SOCFK, so you can do it justice - my camera skills suck.

Thanks John for the great Photos (The next Weyer)
Keep an eye out I will be posting pictures of my first folder in the next few months.

John I would like you to do the photography if you will, and enough of this free stuff quote me a price,it's worth it.

Chris:
I am still pretty new at this and I learn somthing new every week,Heck I am now designing my first folder on Auto Cad and I would never have imiganed that possible due to my lack of computer skills.
To date I have not ground blades for any of my custom customers but that may change soon?as it is somthing that people want, and in order to continue to serve the knife community one must never stop learning or honing the skills one already has or you will quickly lose your standing in a very quality oriented group.

Beautiful work. Are you accepting similar customization jobs. If so, what do you charge for customization work like that and what is the approximate turnaround time?

Barry

Barry:
Yes I am accepting orders,4 week lead time at the moment, the work on the knife pictured was $160.00 + shipping $120.00 for bolsters and scales and $40.00 for blade finish.

AutoCAD, huh? My favorite program. Use it every day at work, actually. Glad to hear you're expanding your knowledge, and your expertise! Good job, man. Listen, if it means anything, I'll always trust ya with my blades. Keep up the great work!!

Chris

Kevin,
Do you think if I sent you a knife(CQC7A), and asked you to do the same to it, could you also add a wave to the blade's thumb ramp?

Brigadier:
Looking at the blade as seen above it looks possible, however the wave feature is patented I think by Emerson and adding it to a knife without permisson would be disrespectful and an infringment of his patent.

My apologies
