I have a folding pocket knife.

There are two blades.

Blade one side one has UNRIVALED QUALITY (Kissing Cranes?) ORIGINAL SOLINGEN down the blade and (Kissing Cranes?) ROBT KLASS SOLINGEN at the bottom. Blade one side two has 2828X1X at the bottom.

Blade two side one has (Kissing Cranes?)with Germany under it on the bottom. Blade two side two says nothing.

It looks like a wood handle with the (Kissing Cranes?) emblem on it.

Can anyone tell me about this knife?

Thank you,

John

Welcome to Bladeforums! :D

Robert Klass makes Kissing Crane knives. Not bad using knives. Here's a website with some information on them: Cutlery To Go.

Check out this search for other sites and information.

The Kissing Crane knives that are standard patterns (like stockman, copperhead, or trapper) with carbon steel blades are really good users. I find their carbon steel blades to be among the best in my collection. Their cheaper line, like the brown mule sodbusters, is not up to the same standards, but at that price point not many will complain.

I carried a Kissing Crane horn-handled stockman today, it had been ignored lately and was feeling lonely so I threw it in the rotation.
