Any thoughts on the new Roc. The clever style blade is really cool. I'm not sure I've seen anything like it

I really like the styling. For me, a lot of the tasks my knives face are on the cutting edge and not the tip. There are times where a piercing tip or sharp point is very useful for delicate work or for starting an initial cut, but it isn't always necessary. I think it's a pretty cool design, and who doesn't need a folding cleaver?

does anyone know when it's supposed to be released? i read august 2014 somewhere. someone tell me that it's due earlier than that.

With the cleaver shaped blade I would have preferred it in CPM 3V, it would make a better chopper. In VG-10 it is more of a straight razor than a cleaver. Still a very unique blade, that will be in my collection eventually.

I'm wondering how much a frame lock 3"+ bladed pocket knife that weighs 4.2 oz can be used as a chopper even considering the shape or steel.

Don't get me wrong. I think it is an great looking knife. It's on my short list for certain but I still haven't figured out how I'll use it .
It looks great and I'm expecting it will do a number on hot dogs and 3/8" line :)
