Has anyone bought/used the Rock Creek KH2514 Kudu knife? How does it perform? How's the steel? I'm not a fan of knives made in China, but this one looks like it might be well made.

Today was my B-day and i went to the knife store with idea of buying the rock creek Nyla, after handeling every rock creek model many times I ended up with the Kudu. I have not had a chance to cut anything but dinner with it.

I love it its awsome. Juat a tad over 6 oz and feels nice Razor sharp, Killer sheth . For a 100 bucks it was well worth it. I wanted somthing simple strong an easy carry and after looking over everything i could find online about the rock creek knives i was impressed .

The nyla was a beast 1/4 in thick blade you could batton it threw iron wood. But it felt like a heavy 9oz. If i was looking for a knife for wilderness survivle i would pick the Nyla for sure. But i was looking for simple and unique.

These knifes are deffently worth looking at the sheths are double stiched nice and thick with steel caps in the wear areas. I was worried the steel on the sheths would be tin foil but its solid.

The butts of the knifes are solid you could drive a nail with them.

After i use it some ill do a mini review.

This is cool, I have been checking those out for a while, but never pulled the trigger. I will be watching for your review! thanks.

Ok i have had the knife since April. I just returned from a 2 week camping trip using this knife as my primary. I only brought my Kudu and a rock schemp buy spyder co. i found myself using the Kudu more . It was everything i hoped it would be stayed razer sharp dint stain cleans up easy . i am going to buy one of rock creeks big bowies next.

Has anyone actually skinned a deer/elk/any animal really? Im concerned with the steels wear resistance as I have no expieriance with the steel or brand but I love the design of this blade.
