The topic says it all. Should I carry this upside down like a japanese sword so it doesn't lose the compound edge I give it from the sharpmaker? I mean it still stays sharp enough but I can get it very very sharp after going through the steps from CBN to UF and it'll lose that toothy hair shaving edge.

On another note does anyone else take hair, skin, and nail vitamins and then have a hard time test shaving on yourself :P I do. No I do not do it often at all it's just something I noticed but never brought up.

If your edge can't stand up to riding in a Kydex sheath, what good is it?

My Schempp Rock was a factory second, didn't come with a sheath so I made one out of leather. Must have taken all of an hour.

You can dull a s110v or M4 by rubbing on various surfaces pretty easily if you don't apply enough pressure, you'd be surprised. Maybe I'll do what you said and make a sheath, it'd be a fun project. Then I'd be afraid of cutting the bottom of the sheath with the edge I can get on it. I'm just curious if this is common with heavier blades and if they need to be worn "upside down" like japanese swords.
