As much as I like Rockstead knives, I see nowhere near $1000.00 worth of knife there.

Suinogashi with ZDP189 core from W&H has comparable price and Roakstead is thicker and more "tactical" is more like custom then semiproduction I think - it is like Ferrari. Well, Japanese prices are much higher than here in US, anyway. I think street price will be bit smaller if they came to US.
