Rockwell Hardness Tester Questions

I hope you have the time to answer a couple questions for me regarding a used 3R Rockwell Hardness Tester I purchased. First it is missing the test plate or anvil part you lay the material on, and not sure which one I need for testing blade materials . Also I laid it down on its side on a pile of clothes to haul home and when I stood it back up some small rod fell out threaded on one end and a hook bent on the other end, I am not even sure if it belongs to this tester, I don't see a place for it. Do you know where I can find the test plate / anvil I need? And what that rod is ? Thank you very much for your time. Sincerely Dennis

The anvil and test block are different items but you'll want the flat anvil. Looks like a disc with a post on the bottom that drops into the elevation screw. A test block is steel of certified hardness used to verify/calibrate your tester. I'm not sure about the threaded rod with hook I have a different model, sorry.

Thank you. Yea that threaded rod with a hook makes me think it was some sort of weight hanging dohickey, but I don't know. I figure someone has one like it might see my post and let me know. If I could find a schematic on it I would be set. Thanks again
