Just got this knife today and there is a lot to like here. After gripping it several times and telling myself I could get used to the grip, but I just could not. I grab some of my favorite knives to compare and I was compelled to make the modification. It took about 3 minutes to do. I thought I would post some pics to show how I did it and how it turned out. Now I just need to hand sand the edges of the slabs to contour to the knife. For me this knife just went from an 8 to a 10. Thanks for looking.

Yep, I've been debating on removing the hump on the r9...but, I keep flip flopping on whether I like it or not...still haven't used it, which would probably settle the delima. I think I may like it an want to resist my nature of immediately modding something just because it is different...hmmm
 
I dig it. The handle hump caused me to pass on this little guy. Nice mod job.

Anyone else reminded of Young Frankenstein "what hump?"??
 
This is the exact mod I am considering doing to my Rodent 9 when it arrives. I think with the right blending in it could be very similar in handle to the SAR 8.

How hard would it be to take off the top guard on the Team Gemini if I got one? Its whats been holding me back
