Alright guys, I'm going to go out on a limb here and express my personal OPINION, so get your rope ready. I feel like the RMD is just a hair more comfortable. However, in my opinion, the full extended pommel on the Rodent 5 gives it a dimension of usefulness that the RMD does not fully utilize. So for me, if I had to pick between the two........the Rodent 5 gets my vote. It is also important to mention that I would still rather the rodent 4 over the other 2. Burn away!

I don't understand why more handles don't have the spine hump of the RMD & HRLM, it just fits perfectly into the pocket of my hand. I think the R5 has a better choil, closer to the handle with a narrower guard. But what bothers me about both is illustrated by the following excellent pics (thanks for these, btw):

Notice how thick the edge is especially in the sweep to the tip, particularly on the R5? WAY TOO thick, more to bludgeon than cut! The swamp really needs to lower their bevel angles, primary and/or secondary. Show us how much you trust that SR101!

The R5 is now my choice in the small knife group even over the RMD. The R5 fit my hand PERFECT and is very COMFORTABLE. The R7 has and simply will replace all mid size from 7"-8". This thing is one mean machine!!! The SFNO, Ratweiler, Chopweiler, FSH etc will take a back seat to the R7:thumbup:
