Rodent 6 vs ratmandu to compliment RS

So I'm a loyal swamprat lover with a rodent solution, ratmandu and warden. But I tend to carry the warden or the rodent solution most often due to weight and size. When I'm doing outside stuff.

I love the ratmandu but it seldom gets used. I don't own any large knives and I am intrigued at the rodent six without the top guard (supersized ratmandu). One largish jack of all trades knife to compliment the RS.

Am I crazy?

Not crazy at all. R6 is an awesome knife. I just got back from a scout survival campout and used a warden and R6 as my knives. Great combo.

I would either carry the R6 with the RS or the Ratmandu stand alone. Being that I am normally packing an axe I would take the RMD, use my axe for heavy work, and my folder for food prep.

Havent had a RMD but have a R6 & 7 and I dont see myself ever getting rid of the 6. Fantastic knife. Cant think of anything couldnt do with it. I think its thinner behind the edge all the way up to the spine than the 7 and very much prefer the thinner scales and smaller bottom guard. Acually love the top guard too. If you gotta choke up on it and have your finger in the choil it rests nicely at the bottom of the thumb giving you a more secure grip. Honestly one of my favorite knives. I havent used it yet outdoors but will SOON. Its a good slicer despite how thick the spine is which is awesome. Cant say enough good about it. Prefer a clip point though. The varient up above is killer.
