The way the top guard was shaped is probably the best one I've seen. I hope Chris Noe can make one more last ride to make a sheath for me. I'll surely miss his craftmanship.

And really nothing is perfect in this world. This knife will be a user anyway so the custom shop did me a favor chipping the coating on the tip. No biggie.

Thanks to the custom shop for making this happen. This was done in approximately 4 weeks!

That's a nice blade! I also have the r6 with guard removed and I agree they did a great job.
Mine is flat across. I like the shape on yours. Mines a user also and it's a beast, one of my favorite! Congrats man

That looks great. I've often debated ordering one. My friend has the Rodent 6 and I really like it but yeah
that top guard has to go.

Congrats !!! I love the Rodent 6 w/o top guard, I've got one I ordered in moss green. I've got to get around to getting another for safe spare, as if one would need it :D knife is a beast !

Now that one get's my attention! I'm an RMD dude, though I like the handle swells of my SOB. It just needs the palm "hump" in the handle on the top. The top guard ground off flat takes away too much on most Rodent 6 customs I've seen. It seems to go from one extreme to the other - which is why I don't have one. I like the small "hump" instead of a high guard or ground flat across. The RMD. Can I get a version with the side handle swells in G10 or black canvas?

By the way, sweet knife. A keeper for sure. (Tanker grey or Sage would be my choice, or just don't coat it, patina is nice). They is a reason I like carbon steel. Use it. It'll be your best friend.

Kenash, I'm sure you could tell the shop how you want it.
Until the op's knife, I've never seen a hump like that. I see the other knife in this thread is straight across as well with no hump. Maybe swamp rat started doing them different adding the hump on all r6 custom guard removal. Or the luck of the draw if you don't specify?
Patina on Carbon Steel was mentioned, so here's a current picture.

Custom Shop is pretty flexible with what can be done. I've seen a pic of R6 with the thumb ramp done exactly like on RMD.
And I have those two...

Thanks Man! That knife there is a thing of beauty. I have a FFG with the same patina look! Sweet. No friction causing coating!
