Dies anyone have any comparison pics between a Rodent 9 and a FBM?
 
I do. Can post later when I get home. On a plane right now to LAX, from Nashville Tennessee. Awesome place, wish I had more time to explore.

You would like it.The larger cities are all about the same but there are some very cool areas out away from them a bit.

I think the R9 is just what I have been wanting,prefect combo between big heavy chopper and all around camp blade.
I have a R9 with green-black G10 on order,can't wait.Josh said it would be ready near the end of April.
 
I like the blade and the heft it has, but the thing that made me part with it was the hump in the handle. It was awkward for me in a "normal" handle position. Choked up with my index finger in the choil was good and choked back with my index in front of the hump was nice but my small[er] hands just didnt do good with the hump in the middle. It seems to be a love or hate thing because theres been rave reviews about it.
 
I have large hands,other knives I have handled with somewhat of a bump,ridge or swell in the handle did fit my hand well.Hope I am one to give the hump rave reviews.

Maybe next time I make it there I'll shoot you a PM for some good ideas! Pic from drbarrnes is gonna be pretty much the same as the one I got. I have a FBM and an FFBM and used to have a CGFBM but they are all pretty much the same size. Only difference I can tell is the swedges along the spine are a tad different + CBT's. I love my R9, its light and fits my hand like a glove. A lot of people don't like the handle shape but I loved it from the first second I wrapped my mits around it. I had no idea you could call to get custom handles on this offering otherwise I definitely would have! Would love to see some pictures when she arrives!
 
Will do.I was wondering about the scales after seeing the starting at price.Ordered one and had some confusion about my order and asked about the g10 when I was getting the order figured out.
Planning a woodland camo kydex sheath, should go well with it.I will post pics when it gets here.

Check the exchange, post a WTB thread, or even PM the guy. I'll save you the hassle though -- I ask Barnes for his CGFBM all the time :D

By the way, although the handle didn't work for drbarnes, I happen to really love it. It's like the SAR handle with a hump to lock in three different grip positions. Congrats on your new blade!
