I must say I was curios about the grip but it is very comfortable in almost any position. I didn't notice it till it was in my hands but the handle looks as if it is sar inspired right down no the nuclear meltdown style treatment. The hump adds almost a mag feel to a sar grip it is super comfortable. I hope this clears it up for the few that were worried about the handle of this blade.
