Years ago, when Rodrigo just had received his JS stamp, I asked him to make me his first MS knife, after he would receive his MS stamp. Well one year past his original plan, Rodrigo got his MS stamp this year. He did it with a couple of astounding knives. Among them a dagger that caused some waves with makers and collectors alike (see Roger Pinnock’s excellent article starting on page 28 in the October issue of Blade).
No wonder I asked Rodrigo to make me a dagger. Rodrigo send me a couple of photos along the way, today I received the photos of the complete package and here it is.
The knife is made of manipulated Turkish Twist Damascus with mammoth ivory scales. The blade is 10“ long and the pommel is a Fleur de Lis. The sheath has fittings of the same Damascus and an ostrich leather overlay. The knife is marked MS #1.
