A lil while back I contacted knifemaker David Roeder about making a piece for me. We sorted out all the details through messages and a phone conversation. He stayed in contact w/ me through the whole process, got pics and videos. Really nice guy and very talented maker and I wanted to post this to showcase that very fact. Knife is being shipped to me as we speak, can't wait to get in in hand.

If you guys don't know who David Roeder is, you should.

This is a 1095 Cable Damascus fighter, Ebony handle w/ copper guard, 11" overall.

Got it in today, even better in real life. Pics do not do it justice. 10 1/2" overall. Thanks again for the great work David!!

Very Nice! Really love the file work on the guard and that cable Damascus. Spent some time with Shiva the other day. He's going to run me through his methods on the cable damascus/dragon skin.
 
Wow! Be-you-ti-full. I love seeing the work in progress all the way to completion. My favorite kind of threads. Thanks for sharing.
