well,I got so frustrated trying to get that photo to work that I neglected the back story.I had been in email contact with Roger since last years show.I'm no designer so I had asked him if he could make me a large sub-hilt.This is waht he came up with.I'm extremely happy with it to say the least. As for the show,it was really a great time,I had already pre-bought and used most of my money,so I did'nt have much to buy anymore.I spent my time there just meeting and greeting, and it sure was a great time.Roger Bergh and Anders Hogstrom spent the weekend at my place, not only are they both great artisans, but both of them are great folks and just fun to hang out with.

I've got some more photos(closeups and stuff) hopefully they're a bit better than that last one,but I'll post them at another time...it's hard work for me to get them up here!

That's just a great knife Rob. I picked it up more than once for a close look, I really liked it. Roger and Anders are good people and I hope to hang out with you guys some next year. You done good with this one man.

That's a terrific knife - very striking combination of design and materials. Congrats!

thanks for the replies,Don,there were a couple that I handled more than once too, that I also would have liked to acquire....soon.anyhow,heres a few more pics .I think the handle is done real well,as I notice on all of Roger's knives. There is a small layer of nickel silver between the blade and the guard that you can see in these shots.I also really like the carving on both the blade and the handle. The sheath also is some fine work.I'm quite pleased with this knife! Thanks for looking

Roger rocks indeed. This one is great, his choice and handling of the materials involved is excellent (as allways).

Rob,

Remind next time I see you to give you a good butt kicking for not bringing this knife down to my hammer-in yesterday! Just kidding :D You're right, it's like no other sub-hilt I've ever seen and that blue mammoth ivory is sweet.

Talk to you later,
Brent
