Here is a new image by Coop of my Rojo II, and a new Gamemaster Hunter by Jerry Fisk, MS. I think that they make a nice understated pair.
Perhaps it is just my contrary nature, but I have always liked Jerry's Gamemaster just a bit better than his Sendero.

Peter, That's a great pair of knives. The Rojo is my favorite Fisk knife. It feels great in the hand and is light for a big blade. Congradulations. Jim Treacy

Can you explain what you prefer about it? To my eyes, they look very similar. The only apparent difference I can see is the top line of the blade looks straighter than that of the Sendero.

This is an image of a Sendero Lite, so the difference between the two is a bit more pronounced. I just slightly prefer the chunkier hand filling Gamemaster.

Often, the Gamemaster has a different blade shape than the Sendero. As at the choil on the one below.

I agree 100%. I have owned both and the GM is usually a little beefier and more to my liking.

To me, the Gamemaster is more of a hard use Hunting knife (even thought the one I just posted does not get much hard use :D ) and the Sendero is more of a multi-purpose knife and one to dress up with more embellishments.

The Rojo II is one of the best big knife designs out there. Deceptively simple in appearance, but pick one up and you know right away that some serious thought went into all aspects of its design.

That's a perfect description if I've ever heard one.

So many times we get caught up in the looks of a knife and the design and functionally is overlooked.

Oh my, two of my favourite Fisks in one thread, all we need now is the Southwest damascus NLT with ivory handle, clamshell guard, and Fisk scrathing......... and I'll be smoking a cigarette! :D

and that crazy NLT Sendero with the wild pattern he got from one billet:thumbup: :D

Jim, I didn't know you owned that one. It's a beauty.

Sorry, Stephen.
The owner of that one (Southwest NLT Clamshell) does not hang out around here. :D

Unfortunately I didn't get the NLT Sendero, but here's one I was lucky enough to get at the first Fisk Microshow.
