The big, local gun and knife show is this satruday at the Big E in West Springfield. I want to go(if I don't forget this time) and wanted to see who i may run into.

Now, I know there aren't too many knife tables in comparison to gun, but I think it still may be nice. (I'm not really a gun collector/user yet)

I'll be there! I don't know which day I'll go, yet, though. Most likely 'gonna bring my brother and a buddy from work. I may end up with a MT Socom Elite.

I really hope they have some good knives there...has anyone been who can attest to the quality??

Bertrand, sounds like you might have been.

Yeah, I went to the Dec. 3rd & 4th (exact dates?) show and bought the knife that started me on this whole "KnifekKnut" frenzy. I had whittled down the choices between a BM 940 and a BM 730. I got the 940BT. The next week I bought the 730 at a Gun store!

The big custom knife show will be going on in NYC the same weekend, so I hope there will still be some good knife representation at the Big E. My bro's got his eye on the BM 690. He really fell in love with mine.

I hope they have them some good fixed blades. I've been on a folder kick(nothing wrong with that) for a bit, and I really want to buy a good fixed blade(or 2, or 3, or....well, you know).

Hope to see you and other forumers there.

Blackwatch,

If the weather was better I may have been going. Thats the biggest show around here.

You'll see more firearms than knives of course. Hope to see ya at the Marlboro KNIFE show in a few weeks.

(04/01) I aint fooling either

April fool's day, cool. I hope the tax return money is in by then, as I'll have to buy several knives.

Too bad you won't be at the Big E, Frank. See you in Marlboro.

Well, I made it to the show today. Almost bought a BM 710AL (aluminum scaled version) but didn't. My Brother picked up a CRKT small Urban Shark. Nice knife for under $30. I also checked out TOPS fixed blades. I'm very impressed with them. There were no Microtechs at all. Bummer. I would have been interested in an S.E. Frank C., is the Marlboro show April 8th and not the first? (the Hartford show is the first of April)

Russ,

Yes, the Marlboro show is the 1st of April to. This is strictly knives. Check out
North East Cutlery Collectors Association They sponsor all the knife shows in the area. Members get in free.

I will have lots of Microtechs to check out at the Marlboro show. The new special edition LCC green/black if they survive that long. I will have a lot of TOPS knives also! Hope to see ya there.

Hey guys! I made it on Saturday! After I sifted through the tables of bayonets and had almost given up hope, I found the real knife tables(yes, bayonets are real, too...but not in this situation). I looked at lots of knives...BM,Spydie,Gerber, MOD, Emersons, and even the CRK Sebenza(only had lefty, but who cares?!?)!!!!!

I didn't see the TOPS knives anywhere, but I sure wish I had.

I ended up purchasing(and, I'll post this elsewhere) the much spoken of Bob Lum Chinese Folder sn 666 and a Gerber Yari. I couldn't believe I ran into the vendor who had that Bob Lum after reading the post on this forum.
Laughed a lot.

Well, my first gun/knife show was great!! It was so awesom to see/play with all the knives I've wanted to see(except for Al Mar SERE 2000, which was sold out and the MT LCC M/A, which noone had....). Can't wait til the next one!
