I d rather have a stamped model than a lazer etched one but I don't think they are rare. They are being discontinued. But u will still be able ta get them. There are plenty out there ya just might pay a couple dollars more. Just my opinion
They are out there and perhaps even rare but some thought that the stamped area might be a stress riser and potential source of weakness. I do prefer the smooth finish over the current finish and really don;t have an opinion one way or the other as to the stamped versus laser etched iteration. That said, my laser ecthed is the "User" and the only smooth finish stamped one I have is my "keeper."
Sorry guys I bought more then a few of those promo bk4s
Probably more then anyone else here.
Lets just say my back ups have back ups now.
The bk4 is my absolute favorite becker and the only one I'm collecting now (only missing one model). I bought a bunch mostly just because the price was right and they are being discontinued. I highly recommend everyone get one (PROMO or regular) while you can its AMAZING!
The deal popped up and I was going to post it here but I thought there was a strict no deal spotting policy.
However the next day someone posted it here anyway and it seemed to fine.
Im just hoping that kabar is discontinuing them so they can make a .210" version with no swedge :thumb up:
But to answer your original question it took me a very very long time of checking ebay to find a PROMO for sale. Kabar putting them up for sale was a dream come true. Keep an eye on that clearance page for any more that pop up. You could probably call them up and ask them if they have any more lying around the factory still.
