I've been exchanging email with Roman Landes -- he tried to change his email address and got stuck in "users awaiting email confirmation." I told him to look in his spam filter; he can't find the confirming email there. What do we try next? Can you get the system to send it again?
 
Yeah, the Chris Mapp account is also stuck in "awaiting email confirmation" and I just noticed so is NeedleRemorse. As I understand it Spark can tell the system to send the email again (I can't; it's an admin-level function). Of course that's not necessarily going to help; the second email could get caught in a spam filter somewhere too....

It's a problem that seems to be occurring more and more frequently. :confused:

The same thing happened to me several days ago. I tried emailing BF, but never heard back. I just registered a few minutes ago under a new username so I could try to get help. I'm relieved to know I'm not the only one this has happened to. :D Please help! My first username is: Phillip Patton

Gmail does filter your account for anything it thinks is spam. It lists it in the upper left, highlighting the number of items in your spam mailbox. I've caught a couple of errors, very rarely. You can redirect any of them to the inbox.
 
I think Chris Mapp / extremefishin changed his email address during that problem we had a couple of weeks ago when Bladeforums wasn't sending out any email at all. The others are more recent ... they happened after we thought that was fixed ... maybe it wasn't completely fixed? Has anyone changed his email address in the past couple of weeks without getting stuck in limbo?

Sounds like more than one person (on a forum this size) needs access to mod/admin functions.
 
I can send, send, and resend, but if their email is borked, or they don't follow instructions it doesn't do any good. The names listed have had codes sent out again
 
Most forums have more than one admin. I think Cougar would be the ideal co-admin.

Just my $0.02.
 
I'm still not. :( I'm using Outlook Express. Does it have a spam blocker? I couldn't find anything that looks like it...
 
I still can't log on as Bors. I recieved this message from cougar.

The confirmation is not in any of my folders could it have been sent to my "old" email address. sorry for all the trouble.:o
