I was on my computer this morning, and my wife called me to the TV. When I got there, Ron Hood was on a FOX TV special for wilderness survival. He did the bow and drill method for starting fires, and taught the "green peas" a thing or two about eating grubs and other natural procurement. I was impressed by the way he gradually took away the "comforts" of the campers...the water...the food...the shelter...until they were forced to thrive or "be miserable". Meanwhile, the camera showed Ron being quite comfortable in his hollowed out "hole in the ground". Cheers to Ron for an excellent performance and for teaching those less educated...an important lesson to surviving the wilderness. It brings back memories of me winning a survival trip to "Simply Survival" in Washington. That trip really changed my life and I enjoy sharing my adventures with other extremists....So, c'mon , Ron...what can I do...let's have a competition for a survival trip under YOUR leadership....I would LOVE it.
