What can you tell me about these collaberations? I think there are three versions, the original had a list price of $504.00 and a street price around $300.00; it was an interframe tail lock. Now there are two mid locks available that are larger. It seems maybe there is one in between these two that is selling around the $150 mark. Is this true? I've only seen them in photos, what are they like in person? is there quality and F&F better than most production folders? Any and all thoughts would be appreciated, I've always wanted an interframe from Lake, this might be an affordable way to get one of his designs and also support him in a small way. Thanks.

I've never handled one, but have heard the older rendition was very well made. I'm not so sure about the later ones. I believe A.G. Russell had the first offering a few years ago and the more current one also. I'd trust anything that A.G. offers though. Maybe he'll check in here and straighten us out.

I wish I'd snagged one years ago. I've always admired the design.

Never seen one either, though have thought about getting one for years. I know that Lake, who is a perfectionist, drove the folks at the factory nuts before he was satisfied but that was for the "older rendition" as Peregrin notes above. I'm also not sure about the later ones - didn't even know there were any to be honest.

I've seen two of them. I believe they were the first two models. AGR was not the only merchant selling them.

They are about equal to a Case-Bose in quality. I liked one of the two, but wasn't going to pay the same price for a Chinese made knife that one pays for a Case-Bose made in America. I've never seen them at $150, more like $250-300.
