Hello,I just got a Ronin and it`s 1/8" thick instead of 5/32",even the tang portion is 1/8".The blade tapers to almost paper thin.Is this a new model?

Do you have an older one with a thicker blade? I don't own a Ronin, but just measured a couple other Spydies with 4mm blades (Manix and Chinook II), and they both were a lot closer to 1/8 than 5/32, so am guessing it is normal.

I have a ChinookII and 2 Lil Temps in 440V and S30V,all 5/32" as advertised, the Ronin is exactly 1/8".I dabble in knifemaking and spotted it the second I took the knife out of the box.The point is very thin,it could be a lot thicker without sacrificing the slicing ability while greatly improving strength.

My question is: will Spyderco exchange this Ronin for a regular thickness one or for a knife with the same retail price?

I'm intrested too is this a "rare" spyderco or what how come no mod post? I think theyd be right in here?
Peace
Bob

I'm sure that someone will respond right after I post this :) but the best way to contact Spyderco for this type of question is to call or email them directly.
